". . . And There's a Sign on your door, no vacancy, just emptiness, without your love, I'm homeless"- Leona Lewis,

Hello friends! I had a lot stuff happen this weekend I need to catch you up on, but first the latest shinanigans from the Singles Ward!

A while ago Angie and I where discussing things, and she made mention that she thought having a homeless theme for a dance would be a fun time, and an untapped area we've never ventured, so like always I put the idea to good use, and we had our first ever "Hobo Ball" this past Saturday, and man was it the best idea ever! I still couldn't get people to dance, I'm convinced only liquid courage will do that, and that's just not an option for church dances, so I'm out of luck, but people did have a dandy time coming up with costumes and roasting weenies over the burn barrels, so all in all I think it was a great activity! Here's some shots of the party!

We where all told to put on or best homeless face, looks like Derick Roylance wins this round!

Here's Meredith Ottley, Sheena, Chelsea Herd, and Kyndra Wright warming their hands by the fire!

Martin Roylance, Jordan Baker, Riley Roylance, adn Derick Roylance almost lit themselves on fire setting these things up!

Here's a close up of my outfit, I was inspired by the Pigeon lady from Home Alone 2

Nette Nette's working the whole runaway teen look, she's works with them, so she would know!

Here's Sara Hyer showing off her contrabution to our canned food drive (Just so you all don't think we are completley heartless, we did collect canned foods to donate to our local food bank)

I think Bryce Roylance and Karly Backman are working that teen runaway thing as well!

Here's all us Hobo's getting our "Hustle" on!

Now we already decided a winner for best Costume, is was Gwenny of course because she's unbeatable, the runners up where Sara Gaertner and Elliot Goodrich all outfits you will see in a second! Our second competition involves you my fine blogging friends! I told people to come up with their own cardboard sign and the best one will win a prize, but I'm leaving it up to you (My readers) to decide which was one takes the cake!

The following are our contestents, please leave your vote in my comments box, and I will announce the winner on Sunday!

Contestant #1 Garret Moore (He's actually from Canada, so this is funny!)

#2Catoura Castleton- Her sign says "Time Traveler, Need Money for a new Flux Capacitor"

#3 Kent Law- Apparently those Flux Capacitor's are expensive!

#4 Sarah Bryant with a sign that says "Need Money to have the stick Surgically Removed"

#5 Ok so This girl is new to our ward, and as soon as I find out her name, I will change this post, but until then she's the "New Girl" and hey mad props for her dressing up and this being her first activity that I know of. . . .well done! She decided to go with the classic "Please Help Need Gas to Get Home"

#6 Here's a double shot of Lisa Quinn with her sign that just has an arrow and simple says Tokyo

#7 is Kevin Mills with "Ninja's Kidnapped Family need Money 4 KA RA TEA"

#8 Emily Goodrich's family wasn't as lucky as Kevin's, those darn Ninja's where's Chuck Norris when you need him!

#9This was the only picture I found of Meredith's sign, it says "Won't Work for food, So will you give me Money for some?"

#10 Here's our Best Dressed Winner Gwenny with her "Betcha Can't hit Me With a Quarter sign"

#11 Sara Gaertner with her "Why Lie I Need a Man" sign

And last but not least #12 Elliot Goodrich there are two pictures of Elliot because he does destitute so well, his sign says "Will Dance for Food" and then a Scripture reference of Luke 276:4 (I Love that one)

So it's up to you folks! Happy voting!

Peace Out!

"Don't Look No Farther, Baby I'm Back Yeah!"- Baby Bash

On average I get about 5 or 6 comments on my blog posts, but last weeks flashback USA blog, you people out did yourselves! I got a record 16 comments, apparently you guys really like ridiculous pictures of me! So thanks for all the positive feedback! Now the only problem is I'm having a hard time trying to think of something to follow that, now everything I had planned seems too boring! I finally decided today, that there's just no possible way I could top what I just did, so I'm not gonna try! And it's ok if only 3 or 4 of you want to comment, or some of you are disappointed because these next couple of posts aren't nearly as funny, I will do what I can! For now it's time to play catch up, I have a bunch of pictures I've taken with the intention of blogging about them, but just haven't gotten around to it, so here goes!

It's been like 3 weeks since I've been done with WorkSource, and the week after I had almost nothing to do because the radio station didn't really need me for anything just yet, so I was kinda bored. I know what you are thinking "If things where that bad why didn't you blog everyday?" Well my internet here at the house is super touchy and doesn't always want to work, but I'm not exactly paying for it, so who do I complain too?

Anywho the good news is I'm all registered for school, I am officially a student at Big Bend Community College where I'm hoping I can finish up my AA in the next year or so and hopefully move to Utah get my Bachelors and make it big in the radio biz! That's the dream anyway!

In the mean time I've been byding my time doing things like this. . . . . . .

Trips to Seattle with my Favorite People to see Boyz II Men (Man are they awesome!) and Shrek the Musical (Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!)

Gwenny and I hit up the Japanese Gardens. . . . .and who says Moses Lake can't be green!

Gwenny and I would be some pretty high priced Geisha's if you ask me! How fly are we?

Please notice the green sign. . . . . whoops I hope nobody from maintenance crew sees this!

My Double wide feet in the sand!

I tried to get his parasoule in as many pictures as possible!

"When will my Reflection show, who I am inside. . . . . "

The Quincy crew which now consists of Kent, Stace, Meredith, and Sheena (and sometimes Adam) has provided us Mo-town folks with a lot of entertainment!

Gwen, Mary Reed, and myself hit up Q-Town a couple friday's agao for one of their Hometown football games (it was awesome and by awesome I mean not!)

And after words we hit up Stace's Home where we came across this. . . . . PETA members beware!

This is Stace is his security garb with a few friends!

They must still be in the process of mounting this one!

When I grow up I want a display like this on my entertainment center!

Gwen ain't no cowardly lion!

Here Kitty Kitty Kitty!

Here's Kent with his Game face on!

This last Monday for Family Home Evening, the ward Fam did this crazy thing called Geo Cacheing and apparently it's a big deal all over the world, but it's basically this big treasure hunt people with GPS systems do. I guess you bury treasure measure the coordinates of where you hid the loot and post it on the internet, so people can plug it into their trackers and find it, here's some of us at one of the locations where some stuff was hidden over looking Moses Lake at Connelly Park.

The Lake of Moses!

Gwen and I. . .what a view behind us huh?

I'm not gonna lie, this last 3 weeks have been kind of sweet, I get to sleep in, watch ridiculous shows on MTV, not shower until the late afternoon! It's been like a little vacation, and by the looks of it, probably the last large chunk of time I'll have to do or not do whatever I want, for a while! So I'm really gonna attempt to cherish these last few days I've got until life gets busy again! Don't worry though, no matter how crazy things might get, I'm about 99.9% sure I'll find time to blog! So, until next time. . . . .

Peace Out!

"I am Beautiful, No Matter What They Say!"- Christina Aguilera

This is my 100Th post! Yeah for me blogging 100 times!!! In preparation for this joyous event I started to write down 100 things about myself I thought no one would know, then I started to bore my self, and figured I'll just save those little Revelations for when I get tagged with a survey that asks me too, because they always do!
So, in place of that I decided to put into motion an idea I had a long time ago when kids where getting ready to go back to school.
I was reminiscing about my schooling days and thought it might be kind of funny to post all my old school pictures and let everyone see for themselves the awkward phase I so patiently endured for many years.
So for now, I give you. . .
THE EVOLUTION OF EMILY WEST!!
This is me at 2 months
practicing my raspberries apparently

Here's me at 6 months. . . complete with the second chin I've had ever since then.

1yrs. old, true story this dress is a hand me down my sister wore the same one 9 yrs. previous!

2 yrs. Kinda cute right?

3 yrs, Am I melting your heart yet?

I guess this is my official Pre-school picture! Here I am at 4 yrs. old with my Teacher Bev, and Yes I am wearing a rodeo T-shirt with cowboy boots over my pants!

Up until this point I like to think I was relatively adorable, but you know how you ruin your child's cute factor. . . . . .
......A bowl haircut
This is my school pic from kindergarten

as if that wasn't bad, in first grade I became a little boy!

And just when I thought things couldn't get worse, I got glasses.

2nd grade
I think I could have quite possibly cut my own bangs for this 3rd grade shot, I sure hope that was the case because we shoulda got our money back if someone cut my hair like that on purpose!
Now some of you kind souls might be thinking "oh come on Emily, it's not that bad!" Well that's because the ride hasn't even started yet people! I must warn you things are gonna get pretty awkward for the next few pictures, so brace your self!

This is me in 4th grade, when my metabolism went from sluggish to completely stalled!

5th grade was a double whammy, bad hair and bad glasses!

No this is not a shot of my 6th grade teacher, this is still me! Funny story though She (Mrs. Thomas) and I had similar denim dresses we wore to school the same day and I felt like DJ Tanner on that episode of Full House when she was wearing the same outfit as her Teacher the first day of school!

EMBARASSING!!!

This is where things get sad because I'm actually starting to do my own hair and pick out my own stuff at this point!

Hey Emily! David Cassidy called he wants his Hair back!

8th grade is when I discovered Sun-In

Freshmen year I went hard and did my own bottle job! Is it just me or do I look kinda butch in this picture!

OK so by Sophomore year things are looking a little better!

I regress a little my Junior year

I think when my senior year came around I finally started to work it out! Although I didn't learn the joys of matching and coordinating until a year later, for some reason i thought it was cool to clash!

I liked all four of these Senior pictures, so I uploaded all of them! Because as they say in the biz if you have a good ending they'll forgive your for anything!

This is a shot of me at Lakeview Park, the place my friends and I would play when we where bored Friday/Saturday nights!

This is me messing around in the prop room at the High School, I thought it was fitting because I spent the majority of my time in that Theatre during those 4 yrs.

Some people pose in their Letterman jackets or uniforms, but since I didn't have either of those, I chose my choir dress!

And here's another shot of me in the prop room. . . literally coming out of the closet!

That's funny right?

I'm sure most of you can identify with the wonder that is "The Awkward Stage". I personally am quite grateful for mine! It has turned out to be comedic gold for me! I mean let's face it being pretty is not funny! How many funny pretty people do you know? I can think of some attractive funny people but they usually have to say or do fairly unattractive things to get you to laugh!

So with that said let's raise a preverbial glass to the ugly kid most of us have been, and say thanks for the stories and the laughter!

Peace!
